PURPOSE: An edge list generation method in a graphic accelerator and an active edge list generation method are provided to reduce the usage of a memory by storing edge data to an edge list memory in order. CONSTITUTION: Edge data is successively received(S1). The scan line which is included in a position with a larger value by comparing the Y axis coordinate of a start point with the Y axis coordinate of an end point is extracted. The location of the scan line is selected(S2). It is determined whether a vacant space for storing an edge data exists or not(S3). If the vacant space for storing the received edge data does not exist, the link information of the link information storing area is updated(S4). The received edge data is stored in a link slot storing area by the updated link information(S5).
