The present invention relates to a dye-sensitized solar cell and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein the metal grid is formed on a substrate, a transparent electrode formed on the substrate, a transparent electrode, spaced at predetermined intervals, and coated on the upper and side surfaces of the metal grid. A protective film and a transparent electrode and an electrolyte layer formed on the protective film, characterized in that the metal grid and the electrolyte is prevented from contacting each other by the protective film. In the dye-sensitized solar cell of the present invention, since a metal grid having a higher electrical conductivity than the transparent electrode is formed on the transparent electrode, there is no loss of power due to electrical resistance, so the efficiency of the solar cell is high, and the metal grid is placed on the transparent electrode without an additional etching process. Since it can be formed has the advantage of reducing the manufacturing cost. In addition, even when the metal grids formed on the first substrate and the second substrate are in contact with each other, the protective film formed on the metal grid functions as a sacrificial layer, thereby minimizing deformation of the metal grid.
