PURPOSE: A system and a method for estimating lateral displacement for an image with a speckle pattern are provided to implement an elastic image rapidly by performing first filtering and second filtering to calculate coefficient of correlation.;CONSTITUTION: A pre-processor(110) changes first and second images having spots into first and second interpretation images. A coefficient of correlation processing unit(130) calculates a phase correlation coefficient to each pixel. A displacement tracking unit(150) outputs the displacement information including a spot in each pixel. The coefficient of correlation processing unit filters first and second interpretation images.
