PURPOSE: A horizontal displacement measuring system for a railway using the electromagnetic induction and a method thereof are provided to reduce the cost and improve the stability by measuring the relative displacement of a rail and a railway vehicle in real time.;CONSTITUTION: A horizontal displacement measuring system for a railway comprises a time-variable current supplying apparatus, a horizontal displacement measuring sensor, a calculator and a displaying device. The time-variable current supplying apparatus supplies the time-variable current. The horizontal displacement measuring sensor is provides with current from the time-variable current supplying apparatus and alternates the induced voltage according to the change of the horizontal displacement of a railway(5). The calculator detects the induced voltage from the horizontal displacement measuring sensor. The displaying device displays the result calculated from the calculator.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
