Method for developing blood-free liver segment volumetry and liver surgery planning in selecting appropriate donors for living donor liver transplantation

PURPOSE: A method for measuring the volume of a liver area for selecting a donor for living body liver transplantation is provided to easily determine conformance as a donor by measuring the volume of a liver area except for a liver blood vessel through a portal phase abdomen CT image. CONSTITUTION: 3D portal phase abdomen volume data is obtained through a CT(Computed Tomography) technique(S110). An initial liver is extracted from abdomen volume data(S120). An actual liver area is divided from the initial liver(S130). A liver blood vessel area is divided from the liver area(S140). The cut side of the liver area is calculated from the liver area(S150). The volume of the liver area except for the liver blood vessel area is calculated based on the cut side of the liver area(S160).
