New Bacterial Species Zooshikella rubidus Producing Red Pigments and Red Pigments Produced from It

PURPOSE: A novel microorganism Zooshikella rubidus which produces red colorant is provided to use in anticancer, antibacterial, functional natural dyeing. CONSTITUTION: A Zooshikella rubidus has Zooshikella rubidus profile or RFLP(Restriction fragment length polymorphism)DNA profile same as Zooshikella rubidus. The Zooshikella rubidus comprises 16rRNA comprising nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. The Zooshikella rubidus is Zooshikella rubidus S1-1(KCTC 11448BP). The red colorant is prodigiosin, cycloprodigiosin, prodigiosin derivative or mixture thereof. The prodigiosin derivative is denoted by chemical formula 3. A composition for anticancer contains extract or culture extract of Zooshikella rubidus.
