PURPOSE: An advanced sewage treatment apparatus, a membrane separation process controller for treating sewage, and a controlling method thereof are provided to securing the advantages of forward osmosis and reverse osmosis processes. CONSTITUTION: An advanced sewage treatment apparatus using the forward osmosis and the reverse osmosis comprises the following: a forward osmosis unit(10) located on the rear side of a bioreactor(2), for receiving treated water from the bioreactor to secondly treat nitrogen, phosphorus, escherichia coli, and dissolved contaminants in the water using the forward osmosis by the osmotic gradient; an induction liquid insertion device(12) supplying high concentration induction liquid to the forward osmosis unit; a reverse osmosis unit(24) receiving the treated water and the induction liquid for retreating; and a filtered water reservoir(30) storing and discharging the filtered water.
