PURPOSE: An encoding method using an LT code having a specific structure and an encoding method using a raptor code based thereof are provided to obtain excellent performance in a communication system using a short LT code and raptor code by improving a cycle characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A first degree is selected according to a first degree distribution function(S310). A second degree is selected according to a second degree distribution function(S320). The number of different input symbols, corresponding to the sum total of the first degree and the second degree, is selected(S330). The number of first input symbols corresponding to the first degree is selected from selected input symbols(S340). One first output symbol is generated(S350). Second input symbols are selected from the selected input symbols(S360). One second output symbol is generated(S370).
