PURPOSE: A method for specifically detecting Streptococos oralis using a primer and a probe for detecting Streptococos oralis is provided. CONSTITUTION: A prober for detecting Streptococos oralis comprises: a base sequence encoding an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2, complementary base sequence thereof, or 15bp or more continuous base sequence having a base sequence of sequence number 3 or 4. An rgg gene of Streptococos oralis is used in the probe as a detection target. The probe has a base sequence of sequence number 3 or 4. A composition for detecting Streptococos oralis contains the probe or a primer.
