PURPOSE: A construction method for reducing a base thickness using a PC column with an extended base plate and a PC column thereof are provided to reduce stress concentration by dispersing a load transferred to a foundation concrete layer. CONSTITUTION: A PC column with an extended base plate comprises a base plate(100), a column, anchor bolts, and non-shrink mortar. The base plate has multiple grooves(112) to be fixed to a foundation concrete layer through the anchor bolts. Reinforcing bars are arranged inside the column. The anchor bolts fix the base plate to the foundation concrete layer. The non-shrink mortar is located at a gap between the base plate and the foundation concrete layer.
