PURPOSE: A catalyst for synthesizing multi-walled carbon nanotube with high conductivity and dispersibility and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain the directivity of the carbon nanotube and to be formed into a bunch. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a catalyst for synthesizing multi-walled carbon nanotube includes the following: A sodium material is mixed and reacted with an aluminum material or a magnesium material to obtain the compound of aluminum oxide and sodium or the compound of magnesium oxide and sodium(S110, S120). The compound is reacted with a catalytic material and a cocatalyst in order to obtain a catalyst(S130). A drying process and gelation are implemented(S140). A sintering process is implemented(S150). The catalytic material is an iron material or a calcium material.
