1. A chewable solid composition containing an effective amount of an antioxidant and magnolia extract, which provides enhanced antimicrobial activity against Streptococcus mutans. ! 2. A chewable solid composition according to claim 1, wherein the magnolia extract contains a magnolol compound. ! 3. A chewable solid composition according to claim 1, wherein the magnolia extract contains a gonociol compound. ! 4. The composition according to claim 2, in which magnolol is contained in an amount exceeding 90% by weight of the extract. !5. The composition according to claim 3, in which the gonociol is contained in an amount not exceeding 50% by weight of the extract. ! 6. Chewing solid composition according to claim 1, in which the antioxidant and magnolia extract in relation to S. mutans have a fractional inhibitory concentration (FIC), the value of which does not exceed 1.! 7. Chewing solid composition according to claim 1, in which the antioxidant is a phenolic or tocopherol compound. ! 8. The chewable solid composition according to claim 1, wherein the antioxidant is butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene, propyl gallate, octyl gallate, dodecyl gallate, ascorbyl palmitate, di-t-butyl hydroquinone, or combinations thereof. ! 9. The composition according to claim 1, in which the antioxidant is selected from the group consisting of butylated hydroxyanisole, propyl gallate, octyl gallate and dodecyl gallate. ! 10. The composition according to claim 1, in which the ratio of the weight of the magnolia extract to the weight of the antioxidant is in the range from about 1:10 to about 10: 1. ! 11.
