The invention relates to the means to prevent the passage of vehicles on the territory of protected sites. Barrier protivotaranny barrier comprises a hollow beam with power cables. The beam is mounted on the main axis of the rack to move in the vertical plane. The free end of the beam is adapted to lock in a horizontal position in the receiving stand locking mechanism. The bases of both racks rigidly fixed to the foundation block and the housing of the locking mechanism and the main axis of the rack connected with additional power cables disposed vertically and fixed to respective foundation blocks racks. Increasing the strength properties of the barrier is provided due to the formation in the structure of a closed system between the force elements beams, pillars and foundation blocks, as well as the presence of the locking mechanism, interacts with the free end of the beam in the operative position of the barrier.
