FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: method of determination of coolant flow rate by characteristic point of power of spectral density of voltage of magnet induction converter (MIC) of ball flow metre consists in implementation of primary converters of ball flow metres generating voltage as measuring devices. A reference flow metre is set successively with the primary converter of the ball flow metre in one of working channels. A principle of flow rate measurement in the reference flow metre is different from that of the ball flow metre. Entered separately into display facilities and record facilities, sets of data in form of values of voltage from the primary converter, installed in the working channel and in the channel with the reference flow metre, are mathematically processed and used for plotting a graph of power of spectral density in double logarithm coordinates. Characteristic points of voltage of the MIC channel are compared with the reference flow metre and voltage of the MIC of the working channel. Control devices are used to achieve matching of coordinates of reflected on graphs characteristic points in the working channel and in the channel with the reference flow metre. Reading of the reference flow metre is fixed and is brought to correspondence to an earlier set characteristic point similar to both channels.;EFFECT: accuracy of measurement of coolant flow rate and measurement of water flow rate in fuel channels of high power channel type reactor and consequently raised reliability of nuclear power plant operation.;2 cl, 9 dwg, 2 tbl
