Method for depositing metal nanoparticles on working electrode used as substrate for measurements of surface-enhanced Raman scattering, involves shifting electrode from phase boundary of aqueous solution and liquid organic phase
The method involves immersing the working electrode in an aqueous, anion containing solution by applying electric potential to electrode, such that the surface of electrode is simultaneously immersed partially in liquid organic phase and in organic phase releasable metal salt. The organic phase is immiscible with aqueous solution. The electrode is shifted from phase boundary of aqueous solution and liquid organic phase. The electrode is washed in water or ethanol.
