The method involves generating a carrier signal i.e. laser light signal, with constant carrier frequency, and generating a time-or frequency-normal of a frequency-shifted carrier signal. The carrier signal and the frequency-shifted carrier signal are transmitted to a receiver side, and the time-or frequency-normal is extracted on a receiver side by shifting the frequency between the frequency-shifted carrier signal and the carrier signal. Power of a carrier signal source is divided into two carrier signals on a transmitter side.
