The braking system (1) has an electrically actuated drive unit with a regenerative brake and a drive unit-friction brake and an operating unit with an eddy current brake and an operating unit-friction brake. The eddy current brake is a rotating eddy current brake. The braking system is designed so that an adhesion value-optimized brake is performed with the use of the rotating eddy current brake.
