The arrangement has a layer for supplying substance (2) e.g. sodium chloride, sodium bromide, magnesium chloride, potassium carbonate, potassium iodide, glucose, fructose or saccharose, soluble in water, and a separator (3) for controlling transportation of humidity into the arrangement. The layer, separator, water reservoir (1) and gas-permeable particle barrier layer (4) are arranged on top of one another such that partial pressure of water vapor in the substance is used for controlling the humidity in a container. A covering layer (5) is aligned to an inner space of the container.
