The present invention relates to a portable control module for a domestic appliance (2), which is designed for wireless communication with the domestic appliance (2), a range of functions of the control module (12) for operating the domestic appliance (2) depending on the position of the control module (12 ) to the domestic appliance (2), with at least one predetermined detection signal (19, 20) being stored in the operating module (12) for determining the position and being transferable to the domestic appliance (2).
