The device i.e. headlight (400), has an optical imaging device comprising a plano-convex lens (430) for light produced from a light source (420) e.g. LED. The light source is movable between positions with respect to the imaging device, where distance (d1) of the source to the imaging device is different for both positions. The source delivers light power in one position smaller than that in the other position such that the lighting device delivers low and high beam lights if the light source is present in the positions, respectively. The light falls from the lighting device by the lens.
