Device for introducing a process beer in a cast wort, comprises a process beer flow path (16), a wort flow path (18), and a combined conduction region (14), in which the process beer flow path and the wort flow path are led together for introducing the process beer in the wort. A first heat exchanger arrangement (12) is present upstream to the combined conduction region for heating the process beer before the introduction of the same in the wort. The wort flow path and the process beer flow path is led for transferring heat from the wort to the process beer by the first heat exchanger. An independent claim is also included for mixing the cast wort and the process beer, preferably by means of the device, comprising (a) producing a wort flow, (b) producing a process beer flow, (c) transferring heat from the wort flow to the process beer flow and (d) directing together the wort flow and the process beer flow.
