The sensor has a luminescence diode (1) and a charged coupled device (CCD) sensor (2) e.g. linear CCD sensor, arranged in a cup-shaped portion (6) of a housing (5). The cup-shaped portion is made of material that is transparent for a radiation of the diode. A medium is arranged at a wall of the cup-shaped portion such that that radiation from the diode is refracted at an angle different from 90 degrees and emerged into the medium. The radiation is passed to photodiodes of the CCD sensor upon alteration in the medium.
