The device (2) has a gear oil pump (4) fastened at a drive train (1) by a gear device (6) i.e. planetary gear, and including a constant displacement. The gear device includes a switching element device (12) with form-fit and/or frictionally engaged switching elements. The switching element device varies gear transmission ratios (i1, i2) of the gear device dependent of operating modes. Two shafts of the planetary gear are connected with the drive train and a pump drive shaft (5), respectively. A third shaft is fixed on a housing side by the switching element device.
