The system has a belt (10) provided with a tensile load with load-bearing fiber structure embedded in a matrix and including a set of fibers. The structure is led around a deflection device (12) in such a way that the structure comprises a curved section (16) in a region of the deflection device. Dimensions of the belt and the load are matched to each other in such a way that a zero stress line of the belt is radially moved inward along direction of curvature with respect to a center line of the structure in the curved section by an amount of 25 percent of thickness of the structure.
