A power converter (24) is connected with the battery and an alternating voltage source i.e. electric power system (50). Another DC converter (25) is connected with the battery and a DC power source (51). A monitoring unit (23) determines electric power delivered by the former DC converter to the vehicle battery and/or electric power received by the vehicle battery. A control unit (29) is connected with an external control via a data interface (61). The DC power source is designed as a photovoltaic system, a wind turbine, a hydroelectric power plant, a fuel cell, a combustion engine, a rotor, a pump-storage power station and/or galvanic energy storage.
