The body has a superstructure (2) carrying a floor pan (3), which in turn a rear side of a vehicle on both sides of a vehicle body arranged in rear wheel housings (4). Each housing comprises a wheel-housing inner shell (4a) and a wheel-housing outer shell (4b), and is connected to an outer side rail in a form of sills and comprises a seat cross beam (6). The wheel-housing outer shell is provided to a car body in a range between the seat cross beam and vehicle-front-side joints depending on provision of a crash sensor.
