The drive device comprises a shaft such as output shaft or intermediate shaft, and a cover (1) that surrounds the axial end region of the shaft. A bearing of the shaft is mounted in housing. The housing is formed with radially outwardly directed projections having the same radial distance from the shaft axis. The cover is formed with depressions engaged with projections in the housing, to connect the cover and the housing in the circumferential, axial and radial directions. A seal provided between the cover and the housing is deformed elastically.
