The clutch cover (2) has several ring-interconnected cover segments (3) connected to adjacent cover segment in circumferential direction (U), through two connecting portions (8,12) which are offset from each other in the axial direction (A). Two cover segments are inserted into one another in axial direction, through connecting portions. The cover segments have a first end (13a) spaced apart from second end (13b), in circumferential direction. The first end has slots opened in axial direction, and the second end has respective slots opened in direction opposite to axial direction. An independent claim is included for a coupling device.
