The device (1) has multiple axially extending-axial grooves that are opened into a circumferential annular groove. A set of balls is axially mounted on a sliding sleeve (5) during case movement. The balls are accommodated in the respective axial grooves in a sliding sleeve position, so that two shafts (2, 3) i.e. driven- and sequence shafts, are rotatably coupled to each other in the sleeve position. The balls are moved into the annular groove along the axial grooves during movement of the sleeve into another position, so that the shafts are decoupled from one another in the latter position. An independent claim is also included for an agricultural vehicle comprising a steering wheel and steering gears.
