The ring (4) has two V-shaped legs extending from each other. One of the legs includes a sealing lip (13), which is provided for contact at a component moving relative to the ring in an axial direction. A low pressure-side sealing surface (11) and a high pressure-side sealing surface (12) extend from the sealing lip in respective angles (a1, a2) to a ring axis (A). The angles are larger than 0 degree and smaller than 90 degree. The angle of the low pressure-side sealing surface is smaller than the angle of the high pressure-side sealing surface.
