The laminator (1) has a heating plate (5) on which a lid (2) is attached using a seal (4) so as to form a main chamber. A diaphragm (3) is provided between the lid and seal so as to divide the chamber into an upper chamber (9) and a lower chamber (8), such that pressure in the upper chamber is greater than pressure in the lower chamber. A thermally conductive insert (6) is arranged on the heating plate. A laminate layer stack (7) made of five layers is provided on thermally conductive insert in lower chamber.
