The device has an acoustic resonator (10) having a cavity (1), which is filled with compressible medium. The compressible medium is provided in a housing. The acoustic resonator comprises acoustic resonance frequency, which is formed dependent on medium pressure in the compressible medium within the cavity. A sensing device is connected with the housing to detect a sound frequency spectrum of the cavity via the housing and/or the compressible medium. An actuator device is connected with the housing to deliver sound waves (5) to the housing and/or the compressible medium. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining pressure in compressible medium.
