The method involves forming a conductive thread (2) with a smooth outer surface. The conductive thread is continuously unwound from a cylindrical coil (1) by applying constant tensile stress, where the thread is wound on the cylindrical coil in a coil-shape and held in a position by a net-shaped elastic holding unit (3), where the conductive thread is made of electrically conductive elastomeric material. A carcass insert is subsequently processed using a calendering process, where the holding unit exhibits mesh size of about 0.2 to 3 cm.
