The method involves driving front and rear axles (2, 4) of a hybrid motor car (1) by two different electric machines (7, 9). A common transmission input shaft (13) is driven by an internal combustion engine (8), where the electric machines are operated as generators. A gear box input clutch (15) i.e. twin clutch, is arranged behind the internal combustion engine and one of the electric machines. Constant torque is transmitted by the gear box input clutch. Rotational torque is provided by the other electric machine to drive the hybrid motor car.
