The device (5) has injectors (7) for injection of a reducing agent (8) e.g. ammonia, into an exhaust gas stream (9), and a supply conduit (10) for supplying the injectors with the reducing agent. A conveying device (11) drives the reducing agent in the supply conduit. The injectors and the conveying device are attached to a control device (13) e.g. engine control device. The control device is configured and/or programmed for operation of the injectors and the conveying device, where the control device has a data bus interface (20) e.g. controller area networkbus interface. An independent claim is also included for a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system.
