The method involves classifying pixel regions of a first image, where the classified pixel regions are utilized for generating a second image of morphological erosion with a structure masque. Contours of the classified pixel regions are provided adjacent to the pixel regions to be eroded, and smoothed by a topology-obtaining process for contour changes at the eroded pixel regions. A pixel is assigned to corresponding classes of the classified pixel regions and provided in a context of magnification of contours of the classified pixel regions for forming a third image. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for computer-aided processing of a digitalized image (2) a computer program product comprising program codes for performing a method for computer-aided processing of a digitalized image.
