The drive unit (1) has a combustion engine (3), an electromotor (5), and a planetary gear (13) with input stages (17, 21). The combustion engine is coupled to one of the input stages of the planetary gear through a gear stage (7), and the electromotor is coupled to the other input stage of the planetary gear through another gear stage (19). The former gear stage is formed by an endless drive with a drive wheel (9) and a driven gear (11), where the latter gear stage is designed as a reduction stage.
