The wheel (34) has a cooling passage (38) extending into the wheel for cooling the wheel with cooling medium i.e. air, flowing through the cooling passage. The cooling passage runs in a radial direction (28) and/or diagonally in an axial direction (40) of the wheel. A supply channel (42) is fluidly connected with the cooling passage supply cool air, where the wheel is driven with the exhaust gas in a receiving space (32). A shaft (22) includes another supply channel (44), which is fluidly connected with the supply channel of the wheel. An independent claim is also included for a supercharger.
