The method involves collecting sections and compressing the collected sections. The pellets of desired length are formed, where the pallets are granulated to a workable size in production of filter stands. The sections are recycled and has a filter material unwrapped with a wrapping paper and are separated over the entire cross-section of the filter stands. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for reprocessing strand-type sections of filtering line or section formed during manufacturing of filtering lines or sections of a tobacco processing industry; and (2) an arrangement for manufacturing filter strands for tobacco industry.
