Method for controlling steering of steerable rear wheel of motor vehicle while executing brake operation, involves adjusting steering angle of rear wheel based on determined vehicle velocity and determined steering angle of front wheel
The method involves defining an association prescription for a set of values of a driving dynamics size. A value of the driving dynamics size, a vehicle velocity (v) of a motor vehicle (10) and a steering angle (a) of a front wheel (12) are determined in predetermined driving conditions. A steering angle (b) of a rear wheel (14) is adjusted based on the determined vehicle velocity and based on the determined steering angle of the front wheel in accordance with the association prescription belonging to the determined value of the driving dynamics size. An independent claim is also included for a control device for controlling a steering unit of a steerable rear wheel of a vehicle while executing brake operation.
