The locking device has a bolt (15) and a spring (17), by which the bolt is pretensioned. The spring supports on one hand a component connected at the bolt or at the component connected with the bolt in a fixed manner and on the other hand at a support element (16) arranged at the bolt, which is movable in the axial direction to the bolt. The support element is held at the bolt by a safety unit. The safety unit is formed as a ring shoulder (15a) of the bolt. An independent claim is included for a synchronization unit with a shifting sleeve, a gearshift sleeve carrier and a locking device.
