The FRP motor vehicle component (10) has a continuous fiber layer and differently colored matrix materials that together form contiguous upper component areas (11,12), so that visible side of component areas are provided with different colored surfaces. A lower component area is formed by a colorant-free matrix material. The differently colored matrix materials are mixed at the connecting regions (13) of component areas.
