The device (1) has a primary coil (4) inductively coupled with a vehicle-side secondary coil (5) for charging an energy store (2) i.e. high volt battery. A positioning device (7) automatically moves the primary coil into a predetermined loading section (11) relative to the secondary coil. A sensor-less mechanical adjusting device (12) is provided for fine adjustment of a relative position of the primary coil with respect the secondary coil such that the primary coil moves from a loading section into the predetermined loading position relative to the secondary coil.
