The device has a height adjustment device (10) for a driver's cab (11) that is movable with respect to a vehicle frame (12). A control and/or control unit is provided for adjusting a relative distance between the driver's cab and the frame based on a driving parameter. An air suspension (14) is provided for the driver's cab for providing a spring action relative to the frame. An electronically controllable valve is provided for formation of the height adjustment device. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting height of the driver's cab.
