The device (1) has a water supply (2) permitting to connect the device to a water distribution network through a water hose (8), and a water intake arm (5) whose end emerges in an opening of a concrete mixer (6). A conduit (3) connects the arm and the supply, and a water inlet control valve (4) is mounted on the conduit. The supply is fixed in watertight manner to an end of the conduit and is situated near the ground level.
