The apparatus has a working container (2) arranged on a motor case (1) and closed by a lid (4), and a rotary working tool (3) arranged in the container. A safety device authorizes functioning of the apparatus when the lid is perfectly locked on the container. The lid has a locking lug (45) engaged in a lateral notch (17) of the case for activating a safety switch (15) i.e. flexible blade switch, arranged in the case. The lug has a magnet (55) that cooperates with the switch when the lug is engaged in the notch.
