The method involves pre-maintaining and pre-positioning a lock on a reinforcing plate (18) with a set of adjustments between a lock (2) and the reinforcing plate by assembling a complementary pre-maintaining unit, where the complementary pre-maintaining unit is carried by the reinforcing plate and by a casing (5) of the lock. The pre-positioning of the lock on the reinforcing plate is adjusted during fixation of the lock on the reinforcing plate by guidance through connection of heads of fixation screws (4a-4c) and corresponding through holes of the reinforcing plate.
