The method involves positioning a striking plate (10) toward its final position by translation of the striking plate along a transverse axis. An opening frame is closed so as to position the striking plate in the final position. The frame is opened so as to gain access to the striking plate. The striking plate is fixed by screwing of the plate. A premaintenance step is carried out for the striking plate by tightening the plate by a set of screws (21).
