The device has a laser emission type radiative source e.g. pen type laser pointer, located inside a spectral field of sensitivity of photosensitive elements of an image sensor and outside determined spectral observation interval determined by a cut filter. The cut filter includes a residual transmission for emission radiation produced by the source. The radiative source includes sufficient emission power such that an image point corresponding to an emission direction of the source is detected by the image sensor through the cut filter when an optical coupler is in an active position. An independent claim is also included for a method for visualizing an emission direction of a combined observation and emission device.
