The tool i.e. oyster knife (1), has a gripping unit (3) connected to an end of a blade (2) by a junction portion (7) and made of rigid plastic material. The gripping unit is in the form of a fork with two branches (5, 6) connected by the junction portion. A connection surface between the branches is supported against a folding region of a thumb and an index finger of a hand of a user, in utilization position of the tool. One of the branches is supported on an outer surface of the hand. The other branch is supported against an inner surface of the hand.
